Job Description

Nevada Center for Astrophysics (NCfA) at University of Nevada Las Vegas will support one prize postdoctoral scholar position in any area of astronomy research. The scholar will carry out independent research, and is encouraged to collaborate with the NCfA faculty members. Applicants will also be considered for grant-supported postdoctoral positions with NCfA faculty members. The position with an annual salary of $65,000 is initially for two years and have the opportunity to extend to the third year based on the performances of the fellow. The candidates need to have a PhD in physics or astronomy, have a track record of publishing in the related research fields. The scholar is expected to carry out original research work, publishes regularly in refereed professional journals and helps with writing grant proposals.
