The department of Steward Observatory seeks applicants to fill a Postdoc position in galaxy evolution, star formation, UV/VIS instrumentation, including detector development, spectrograph design, and flight projects working with Prof. Erika Hamden in her UV group at the University of Arizona. The applicant will have a leading role in current and new projects including but not limited to:
Applicants should have a demonstrated record of success working on UV data, spectroscopic data at any wavelength, or with detectors/hardware/electronics systems at any wavelength. Applicants are encouraged to develop their own science portfolio while working in Prof. Hamden’s group. This will be a three year assignment.
