Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in star and planet formation working with Professor Steven Longmore and others at the Astrophysics Research Institute of Liverpool John Moores University, UK. The goals of this STFC funded project are to understand how the properties of stars and planets are altered by the environment in which they are born and evolve.
The applicant should have a PhD in astronomy/astrophysics or a closely related field by the starting date. We seek candidates from a wide variety of fields, including applicants with expertise in (but not limited to): observations/theories of star and planet formation (including ALMA, GAIA, JWST); proto-planetary disk formation and evolution; planet population synthesis; the formation of stellar clusters.
The position is for 36 months. The start date is 1st April 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
