Postdoctoral Research Associate or Senior Research Associate in Cosmology (Fixed Term)
Job Summary
Job Description
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in Cosmology at the University of Cambridge. This ERC-funded position will be based at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and the Kavli Institute for Cosmology, Cambridge.
Candidates should be qualified to undertake research in the areas of CMB, large-scale structure, cosmological tests of fundamental physics, or other areas of cosmology. While the main criterion is research excellence and strong researchers in any area of cosmology will be seriously considered, candidates interested in working on CMB gravitational lensing, CMB polarization, large-scale structure or combined probes with Dr Blake Sherwin (and potentially the ACT, POLARBEAR, Simons Observatory, and/or CMB-S4 collaborations) may be of particular interest.
The successful applicant will have completed a PhD in Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Astronomy or a closely related area prior to their appointment (or will receive such a PhD soon after their appointment), and will have demonstrated a capacity to produce world-class research.
