Job Description

Applications are now being accepted for a postdoctoral position with Dr. Bret Lehmer at the University of Arkansas.  The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work with Dr. Lehmer's group on observational studies of X-ray binary populations in nearby and cosmologically distant galaxies. The group makes use of data from X-ray and multi-wavelength facilities, including, e.g. Chandra, XMM-Newton, NuSTAR, Hubble Space Telescope, Spitzer, GALEX, and Herschel. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will have the option to work with and mentor quality undergraduate and graduate students and participate in teaching and outreach activities if desired. This position will perform other duties as assigned.

This is a 1-year initial appointment, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon funding and performance.  Applicants must submit a 1-page letter of research interests (uploaded to the Statement of Research Philosophy link), curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and two professional references (name, title, email address, and contact number) willing to provide letters of reference.
