Job Description

This position is to work with Dr Jonathan Pritchard as part of an ERC funded FIRSTDAWN project to develop tools for learning about astrophysics and cosmology through intensity mapping with the 21 cm line of hydrogen and other relevant lines. You will be expected to help produce independent and original research within the Astrophysics group, submit publications to refereed journals and support the activities of the research group. The main focus will be on topics connected to 21 cm and line intensity mapping to study reionization, cosmic dawn, and cosmology including emulation of numerical simulations, modelling of the intensity mapping signal in 21 cm and other lines, parameter estimation and interpretation of statistical properties of the 21 cm signal. Especially in the context of observations of LOFAR, HERA, SKA.

Compensation and Benefits
