The Leinweber Center For Theoretical Physics (LCTP) at the University of Michigan invites applications for a prestigious named prize Leinweber Postdoctoral Fellowship to conduct independent research and collaborate with LCTP members. We particularly encourage applicants with an interest in theoretical and computational projects relevant to cosmological surveys and large scale structure. LCTP Fellows will have access to high-performance computational facilities on campus and opportunities to co-organize LCTP workshops in areas of interest. The position includes a separate budget for research and travel expenses.

The endowed LCTP Fellowship will be hosted by the physics department. Synergistic activities in the department include involvement with the ongoing Dark Energy Survey (DES) analysis, preparations for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST), and the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). The department aims to provide an inclusive environment with faculty mentorship and activities that nurture scientific and professional growth.
