The Astrophysics Group at Universidad Andres Bello (UNAB) is receiving applications for the Ph.D. program in Astrophysics for the Academic Year 2021.
The Astrophysics Group is located at the Casona Campus of UNAB in Santiago, Chile, and hosts a friendly and stimulating research environment where Ph.D. students can develop cutting-edge projects in Astrophysics.
Main research topics carried out by the Astrophysics Group are exoplanets, protoplanetary disks, low-mass stars, Supernovae, stellar populations, Milky-Way, globular clusters, galaxy formation and evolution, active galactic nuclei, gravitational lenses, galaxy clusters and cosmology. The research group has access to state-of-the-art observational infrastructure in Chile (e.g., ESO VLT, La Silla, Magellan, Gemini-south, ALMA, APEX, CTIO, among others) and observational datasets (e.g. MaNGA, APOGEE, VVV). In addition, the group hosts a cluster computer for numerical simulations and high-volume data reduction and analysis.
Interested students are invited to apply by September 30, 2020. The application form and instructions can be found at the following link: http://form.jotformz.com/form/32884010427652. For further questions please write to [email protected].
