A fellowship will be available for a PhD position at the Università d'Annunzio in Pescara (Italy). The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. Giuseppe Mitri at the International Research School of Planetary Sciences (IRSPS). He/she will develop numerical geodynamic modelling of the outer ice shell of Ganymede, Jupiter's icy satellite. This work will support the preparation of the upcoming ESA JUICE mission. Preferred applicants should have obtained a Master's degree in Geophysics, Physics or an equivalent degree, and should have experience with programming languages and numerical modelling.
