The Exoplanet Group, lead by Prof. Ian Dobbs-Dixon, at New York University, Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Associate in Spring/Fall of 2018. The Exoplanet group currently consists of two postdocs and one PhD student and has close ties to the Space Science Institute at NYUAD. Successful candidates will be encouraged to develop projects in collaboration with Prof. Dobbs-Dixon and members of the NYUAD Exoplanet Group. Areas of interest include (but aren’t limited to) atmospheric dynamics, radiation transfer, cloud formation, retrieval, interior evolution, formation mechanisms, and planet-disk interactions.
 
The Postdoctoral Associate will have access to significant on-site computational resources through NYUAD’s new High Performance Computer. Limited funds are also available for travel to conferences and collaborative endeavors.

Applicants should have a PhD in astronomy, astrophysics, or other closely related field. The appointment will be for a period of 2 years. The preferred starting date is Fall of 2018, but earlier or later dates are also possible.
