The KIAS Quantum Universe Center invites applicants for QUC fellow(QUC Assistant professor) positions in the field of extra-galactic astronomy and observational cosmology.(Dark energy/dark matter-related observation or simulation. Experts on developing new hydrodynamic codes/related astrophysical modules for the cosmology and galaxy formation preferred. Other topics include peculiar velocity field, large-scale structures in the universe, cosmic background radiation, etc.)
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in astronomy or a related field, and should have demonstrated exceptional research potential in their fields. The successful applicants will work with the members of KIAS astrophysics group on analytical, observational, and numerical studies. The research topic includes galaxy formation, large scale structures in the universe, and high-redshift universe (http://astro.kias.re.kr/).
The initial appointment for QUC Fellow(QUC Assistant professor) is for two years with the possibility of a one-time renewal of two additional years, depending on the research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS.
