Site Manager Position at NJIT’s Expanded Owens Valley Solar Array

New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research welcomes applications for the position of Site Manager for the Expanded Owens Valley Solar Array (EOVSA) radio facility near Big Pine, CA. This picturesque area is in the high California desert between two 14,000-ft mountain ranges, and EOVSA shares the site with a number of other radio instruments operated by California Institute of Technology.  EOVSA is a brand new, state-of-the-art imaging interferometer array that makes unique, multi-frequency images of the solar disk, active regions, and flares on a daily basis.  The Site Manager oversees local site development and improvements for EOVSA and potential future modifications thereof, and manages the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the EOVSA facility. The facility is the center-piece of a large solar radio research program at NJIT involving faculty members Dale Gary and Bin Chen, as well as research professors, postdocs, and graduate students.
