Applicants with experience in N-body/hydrodynamic simulations, the modeling of astrophysical processes in cosmological simulations, or the application of simulations to study cosmological observables are particularly encouraged to apply.

OCA is one of the leading astronomical research institutions in France. Researchers cover many areas related to astronomy (cosmology, gravitational waves, planetary science, stellar astrophysics, turbulence and plasmas, instrumentation and signal processing) and geophysics. The galactic/extragalactic astronomy group has important roles in Euclid, SKA, GAIA and various cluster surveys. The young and dynamic computational cosmology group in which the successful candidate would carry out his/her research is expected to grow to a total of 5 junior researchers over the next years with access to excellent supercomputing resources.
