Project Research Staff (Postdoctoral Fellow: Division of Science, NAOJ)

The Division of Science was established in April 2019 as a new division of NAOJ. It aims to develop new fields of growth in natural sciences for further advancement of astronomy by leveraging strategies. We invite applications for a project research staff (postdoc) who will conduct researches such as galactic astronomy, star formation, Zeeman observations, astrochemistry, or related topics, mainly with Dr. Fumitaka Nakamura, Dr. Ryohei Kawabe, Dr. Kotomi Taniguchi at Division of Science. A successful candidate is expected to work on installation and commissioning observations of a new 30-50GHz radio receiver (eQ receiver) which will be installed on the NRO 45-m telescope, fostering collaborative research projects on mm-cm wavelength astronomy especially among East Asia.

The successful candidate is expected to start the job as early as possible after the job offer has been accepted. The term of employment will be until August 31, 2023, including the probation period of six months. Annual performance review will be conducted.
