Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Sussex in the field of computational cosmology to work with Dr. Ilian Iliev. We are seeking a talented and creative simulator with demonstrated outstanding intellectual contributions to research at doctoral or post-doctoral level, to contribute to our research programme.
Experience in radiative transfer and hydrodynamics simulations, parallel computing, databases and statistics are highly desirable. Particular research areas of interest include the physics of reionization, galaxy and large-scale structure formation, astrophysical gas dynamics, radiative transfer and feedback.
We are closely involved with the LOFAR Epoch of Reionization Key Science Project and the SKA Epoch of Reionization project. The candidate will also be expected to assist in the supervision of Doctoral students in the group, and there are opportunities for broader interaction within the Astronomy Centre and Theoretical Particle Physics group.
