Andrew Fox, Bethan James, and Jason Tumlinson, on observational studies of the multi-phase interstellar medium, chemical evolution, and stellar populations of nearby star-forming galaxies. This research will include analysis and interpretation of UV observations with the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph (COS) on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and supporting optical ground-based observations. Part of the successful applicant's time may be available for independent research or new projects in related areas. The nominal start date is expected to be in Summer/Fall 2019, but other dates are negotiable.
