The Niels Bohr International Academy (NBIA) at the Niels Bohr Institute invites expressions of interest for a fixed-term Louis-Hansen Foundation Assistant/Associate Professorship. NBIA aims to either expand into new research areas, such as quantum information theory, or strengthen on-going programs, including Theoretical Astrophysics, Theoretical Particle Physics, Gravitational Physics, Particle Astrophysics, and Condensed Matter Theory. NBIA will consider truly outstanding individuals in all areas of theoretical physics. The Louis-Hansen Foundation Assistant/Associate Professor will be appointed for a period of 5 years, preferably starting during the fall of 2023. Interested individuals are encouraged to upload all material using this link before December 15th, 2022. The search may possibly continue beyond that date.
We are seeking internationally outstanding, highly motivated individuals who are eager to start their own groups with the potential to become leaders in their fields. NBIA seeks scientists who will play a leading role by contributing to the daily activities and the future development of the Academy.
Louis-Hansen Foundation Assistant and Associate Professors are expected to carry out an independent research program and interact with other NBIA members. They will have the opportunity to guide more junior fellows, teach courses at various levels, participate in outreach activities, and organize international meetings and PhD schools.
