The Rutgers University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a postdoctoral research position to collaborate with Prof. Kristen McQuinn and her research group on studies of near-field cosmology and the star formation and chemical evolution histories of nearby galaxies. In addition, the successful applicant will play a leading role in analyzing and interpreting UV, optical, and IR imaging of the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds from a 500 orbit, multi-cycle Hubble Space Telescope program, Scylla. Work on independent research and the development of new projects will be encouraged.
The appointment will be for two years, with renewal up to four years contingent upon satisfactory performance and available funding.

Applicants must have a PhD in astronomy or a related field by the start date.
