The Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics seeks a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to work on the cosmological analysis and scientific interpretation of weak gravitational lensing measurements obtained with ESA’s forthcoming Euclid satellite mission. You will work with Prof. Michael Brown on the optimization of power spectrum estimators for the joint analysis of weak lensing and galaxy clustering (so-called 3x2 point analyses) and the interface with the subsequent cosmological inference pipeline. Cross-correlation analyses with overlapping Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) surveys, with the forthcoming Simons Observatory, will also be explored. For this position, we seek a candidate with significant theoretical/analytic skills and/or who has significant experience in working with large cosmological datasets (either real or simulated).
