Multiple postdoc/research professor positions in galaxy evolution and supernova cosmology

The Center for Galaxy Evolution Research (CGER) at Yonsei University, South Korea, invites applications for multiple (up to 8) postdoctoral research associates or research professors (non-tenure) to begin any time between July and December 2022. The positions are initially for 2 years and could be extended to four years based on the mid-term evaluation. The applicant should have a PhD degree at the time of starting the position.

Preference will be given to those who have good backgrounds on
1) Supernova cosmology, photometric/spectroscopic analysis of host galaxies (w/ Prof. Young-Wook Lee; 3 positions),
2) (a) Developing unstructured moving-mesh hydrodynamics codes, or (b) AI for galactic astronomy, or (c) Observations/simulations on galaxies and extragalactic globular clusters (w/ Prof. Suk-Jin Yoon; 1 position),
3) Numerical simulation of galaxy formation or GMCs (w/ Profs. Sukyoung Yi and Taysun Kimm; 3 positions),
4) Observation of environmental effects or extragalactic ISM (w/ Prof. Aeree Chung; 1 position). 

Current interests of the group include observational cosmology, stellar populations of galaxies and globular clusters, galaxy cluster simulations and galaxy formation mainly using the NewHorizon simulation, modelling of star formation and stellar feedback, simulations and observations of environmental effects in galaxy clusters,  etc. 

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications (up to 54,000,000 KRW (~$43,237) per annum for Grade RA3 or up to 69,600,000 KRW (~$55,731) per annum for Grade RA4 or RP3). The pay grade will be determined based on the experience and performance. Research funds are available for travel, publication fee, and computer.
