Postdoctoral Research Associate Position in Cosmology at Ohio University.
The department of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University invites applications to a postdoctoral research position in observational and theoretical cosmology. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Hee-Jong Seo on extracting cosmological information from large-scale clustering of galaxy surveys, including Baryon acoustic oscillations and redshift-space distortions. The position will last for 2 years with a 3rd year available upon satisfactory performance. The selected person will actively participate in the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) survey collaboration. Applicants must have or anticipate a Ph.D. by September 2019 in Physics or Astronomy. We expect the candidate to have a strong analytical skill. The work will involve various methods such as perturbation theory calculations, numerical studies, and data analysis. A previous experience in large scale perturbation theories and observational cosmology will be appreciated, although not required.
