The University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in observational supernova cosmology.  The candidate will participate in 1) the analysis of current supernova data including the Dark Energy Survey (DES) data and 2) simulations, forecasts, and optimizations for the WFIRST and LSST and supernova programs.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in astronomy or physics by the start date, with experience in large-scale survey data analysis, cosmology, and simulations.  The initial appointment is for two years, with a possibility of extension depending on funding, and offers competitive salary, benefits, and travel allowance.  Applicants should submit a CV, brief description of research interests, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to Masao Sako (  Consideration of applications will begin on February 15, 2018.
