The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for TWO full-time, tenure-track positions in Physics at the Assistant Professor level starting in August 2021.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially based private institution of 9,200 undergraduate and graduate students. Current physics faculty lead research programs in computational and observational astronomy and physics education, and they hold active NSF- and NASA-funded programs. Preference will be given to applicants whose research adds to or complements the existing areas. The University encourages the attendance of its faculty at professional meetings by providing funds for travel; institutional grants are additionally available within the College of Natural and Health Sciences to provide support for teaching innovation, research, research travel, and publication costs.

The candidate is expected to engage in scholarly activity that involves undergraduate students, advise/mentor students, and participate in service to the department, college, university, and broader community.
