Applications are invited for an STFC-funded Research Associate/Fellow position in the field of strong gravitational lensing. The successful candidate will work within The University of Nottingham’s astronomy group on the modelling of existing and forthcoming strong galaxy-galaxy lens data. In addition, the candidate will contribute to the development of new strong lens modelling methods and techniques for finding strong lenses in large image datasets.
A relevant PhD or near completion is essential, as is previous experience of developing strong lens modelling tools in a high level programming language.
This full-time post is fixed-term for three years, available from April 1 2017.
