Research Associate - Maser Astrophysics

This is an opportunity for a researcher who is an expert at computational modelling of radiative transfer, or a similar transport process. Excellent scientific computing and mathematical skills are essential. There is a particular emphasis on the modelling and analysis of astrophysical maser sources.
You must also hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field, with a demonstrable track record in communicating research in both written and oral form. Experience in the reduction of full-polarisation radio interferometer data and/or scattering theory of small molecules would be advantageous.
This post is funded by the STFC as part of the consolidated grant to the Astrophysics Group, part of the School of Physics and Astronomy. The appointment is available from April 2017 for a period of three years, subject to probation. Further details are available from our website below.
