Jacek Niemiec on the project “Shock waves as sources of high-energy particles” funded by the Polish National Science Centre. The project is focused on studies of nonrelativistic and relativistic shock waves and also other systems of cosmic plasmas using plasma simulations methods, in particular kinetic particle-in-cell (PIC) techniques. The research will be performed within international collaboration with groups from Germany and Japan.
