Job Description

Applications are invited to apply for a postdoctoral researcher position in observational X-ray astronomy. The position is at Wayne State University, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Detroit, MI, USA. The successful applicant will work with Dr. Renee Ludlam on studying accretion in X-ray binaries, using data from various X-ray observatories such as NICER and NuSTAR.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in astronomy or a related field by the start date, and significant experience with X-ray analysis is desirable. The appointment is expected to start in Fall 2023. The position is initially for one year, with renewal for a second- and third-year contingent upon progress.
