Leiden Observatory invites applications for a Theoretical post-doctoral position on Galactic Dynamics, within the ERC funded project "VEGA P” led by Dr Elena M. Rossi.
We invite applications from researchers who are working on exploiting dynamical tracers to constrain the Milky Way mass distribution and shape. In addition, academic achievements beyond research are highly valued (e.g., supervision, outreach, actions towards improving the academic environment).
The position will be tenable for four years, subject to a review during the second year. The position comes with a competitive salary and full benefits (e.g., maternity and paternity leave). The successful candidate must have a PhD by the starting date: September 1, 2022.

Compensation and Benefits
The position comes with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including paid vacation, sick leave, disability insurance, maternity and parental leave, and social security and retirement benefits. Medical insurance is compulsory but not included and comes to 100-120 euro/person/month.
