Postdoctoral position in IceCube and next generation neutrino telescopes.
Job Summary
Job Description
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work with Elisa Resconi, Technische Universität München on the identification of the astrophysical sources of IceCube neutrinos, the precision study of atmospheric neutrinos with IceCube/DeepCore, and R&D on next generation neutrino telescopes. The ideal candidate would have a background in data analysis, simulation and/or in sensors development.
The position is part of the newly funded Collaborative Research Centre (SFB 1258) "Neutrinos and Dark Matter in Astro- and Particle Physics" (see http://www.sfb1258.de).
The position is available immediately for two years with a flexible starting date and with a possible renewal based on performance. At TUM, the researcher will enjoy an invaluable training opportunity and a vibrant environment. Furthermore, the SFB will allow the candidate to interact with world experts on neutrinos, dark matter, and astro- and particle physics. The researcher is expected to actively participate in joint activities of the SFB.
