We are seeking candidates to fill a 2-year post-doctoral position at LAM in the field of Extragalactic Physics. The position is funded through the AMIDEX foundation The candidates are expected to have a PhD in Extragalactic Astronomy and an expertise on the emission of active galaxies either about modeling or data.
The goal of the project is to investigate AGN/star formation connections by combining multi-wavelength datasets over the whole electromagnetic spectrum in large cosmological surveys and modelling the full spectral energy distribution of each component. The objectives of the fellowship are the implementation of AGN templates, including X-ray and radio emission, into the code developed by our team (CIGALE) and the statistical study of the AGN/star formation connection in well-defined samples extracted from the large Herschel cosmological surveys .
The successful candidate is expected to take an active part to the scientific activities within our laboratory and team. Her/his participation to conferences, workshops and collaborative meetings will be funded by the team. She/he will be a member of the Athena team at LAM.
To apply please send the following documents in a single pdf file to Véronique Buat (firstname.lastname@example.org):
