Job Description

Position
The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor or Adjunct Assistant Professor in Astronomy. This is a one- or two-semester position to begin in August of 2019. Duties and responsibilities include teaching introductory astronomy lecture and lab courses. Other course assignments are possible based on the applicant’s background. This candidate will be a vital member of a program that is focused on excellence in teaching, research and engagement of undergraduate students. Qualifications
We seek applicants with a Ph.D. in astronomy or astrophysics who have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. Applicants with an MS or MA in astronomy and who have teaching experience will be given consideration as well.
