Job Description

Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (NCAC) of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw announces competition for a 26-month postdoctoral position to participate in the project „Kinetic simulations of instabilities in relativistic plasma” financed by the Polish National Science Centre and led by Dr Krzysztof Nalewajko. The scholarship is available for holders of a Ph.D. degree in the fields of astrophysics, astronomy or physics (or candidates that expect to obtain the degree before the start of their position). Knowledge of numerical methods, high-energy astrophysics or plasma physics will be preferred.

Candidates should submit an application including CV, list of publications, statement of research interests and future plans (2 pages), a copy of the Ph.D. diploma, and two recommendation letters.
