Job Description

A research assistant/telescope observing specialist is sought to help conduct a long-term radial velocity survey of potential planet-hosting stars using the 2.3 meter Wyoming Infrared Observatory. This position will work with Professors Hannah Jang-Condell and Chip Kobulnicky and a team of students in support of NASA's planet-finding missions.  Applicants should have a bachelors degree in astronomy or physics or a closely related field. Experience operating an astronomical observatory and familiarity with analyzing astronomical data in a linux environment is desired.   The position is for one year may be renewed for a second year.
