We are currently seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of exoplanets to begin as early as September 2018. Appointments at higher ranks will be considered in exceptional cases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a member of the newly established McGill Space Institute (msi.mcgill.ca) and the Institute for Research on Exoplanets (www.Exoplanetes.umontreal.ca)
The department has strong interests in exoplanets and in astrophysical topics spanning cosmology, compact objects and galaxy evolution. The McGill Space Institute includes these research topics in addition to planetary physics, planetary atmospheres, and astrobiology.
All candidates in exoplanets, broadly defined, are invited to apply. The successful candidate will be a strong teacher and an outstanding researcher.
