VISIONS post-doctoral position (6 years)

The Department of Astrophysics of the University of Vienna is seeking highly qualified applicants for a 6 year post-doctoral position in ISM and star formation in the group of Prof. Joao Alves. Involvement with the new Vienna led ESO Public Survey VISIONS (visions.univie.ac.at) is expected. Creativeness, motivation, and expertise with radio/sub-mm and/or Optical and IR observations are especially welcome, although all excellent applicants working on Galactic and extra-galactic star formation will be considered. Participation in teaching activities at a modest level is required.

The department is involved in major observatories of ESO (E-ELT MICADO and METIS) and ESA/NASA (Gaia, JWST, Euclid, PLATO).
