Job Description

Applications are invited for a 3-year ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Swinburne University of Technology. The project involves observational studies of outflows, ISM and/or CGM of starburst galaxies. The main aim of this appointment is analysis and publication of data from the DUVET sample, which is an optical IFU survey using Keck Cosmic Web Imager targeting extreme starbursting galaxies to study feedback processes. The data set also includes CO observations from SMA, HST/COS, and HI data. Interest in combined analysis of any of these data sets is encouraged. The postdoc will help supervise a team of 4 PhD students and be encouraged to work with members of the international DUVET collaboration.

The research will be in collaboration with A/Prof Deanne Fisher. The appointee will be supported in their career development and encouraged to conduct independent research and work collaboratively within the ASTRO 3D Galaxy Evolution Project and other staff within the Centre of Astrophysics and Supercomputing.

This appointment is for 36 months Full time Equivalent. The Academic Level A6-B1 ($89,355-$100,719 AUD) depending on postdoctoral experience, all are encouraged to apply.
