Job Description
The University of Tasmania, School of Natural Sciences has a position vacant for a lecturer in Physics. This is a continuing academic position with preference for a researcher in theoretical astrophysics, particle astrophysics, or cosmology. The position is full-time with a balanced workload of 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service.
The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Tasmania is a provider of world-class research and teaching, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University's campus in Hobart. The Discipline of Physics concentrates in radio and optical astronomy, with observatories in four Australian states.

The appointment will be at Academic Level B (similar to assistant professor) and will have a total remuneration package of up to $127,368 AUD comprising base salary within the range of $92,326 to $108,862 plus 17% superannuation

Compensation and Benefits
The University makes a retirement fund contribution of up to 17% of salary. The University of Tasmania has a generous leave policy. Medical insurance is not included, but it can usually be paid on a before-tax basis.
