Planetarium Presenter

The Treworgy Planetarium at Mystic Seaport features an A3-P Spitz projector and prides itself on programs that are informative, personal and interactive.  The planetarium is seeking a regular part time presenter to deliver shows to audiences of all ages with a variety of background knowledge.  The applicant must have a flexible schedule to work weekends and occasional evening events. Position is for 1-3 days per week depending on the season.

Job Duties Include:

• performing on-site planetarium shows for the general public, schools and affinity groups
• communicating with visitors spanning a wide range of ages
• performing educational outreach activities on and off-site
• demonstrating the use of navigation instruments to visitors
• interpreting the exhibit in the lobby of the Treworgy Planetarium
