Computational Astrophysics Postdoctoral Positions and Fellowships at The Center for Theoretical Astrophysics at Los Alamos National Laboratory
The Center for Theoretical Astrophysics (CTA) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) invites applications for one or more postdoctoral positions in computational astrophysics. The CTA brings together over 50 staff, postdocs, and students from across LANL, with expertise that spans a broad swath of topics in theoretical and computational astrophysics including stellar astrophysics, nuclear astrophysics, transients, black hole astrophysics, cosmology, galaxy formation, plasma astrophysics, and cosmic rays. The successful candidate will have interest and experience in computational physics/astrophysics, broadly defined, and will pursue research independently and in collaboration with members of the CTA. Salary and benefits are highly competitive, with a minimum starting salary of $73,600. Exceptional resources are available for high-performance computing, as well as research and travel expenses. A PhD awarded within the last five years is required. Qualified applicants will also be considered for a number of prestigious fellowships.
