Research Associate in Cosmology

We invite applications for Postdoctoral Research Associates in cosmology at Cardiff University within the ERC-funded group led by Professor Erminia Calabrese. The successful applicants will join the Astronomy Instrumentation and Astronomy groups of the Cardiff School of Physics and Astronomy.

The positions are advertised for work on characterization and interpretation of state-of-the-art Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) data from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope and the Simons Observatory, and will engage with the current efforts in designing a new CMB satellite mission. We are seeking researchers with an established track record on extracting cosmology from CMB probes and combination with other surveys.

A completed, or near to completion, PhD in Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Astronomy or closely related area is required.

The positions are for 2 years in first instance, with possibility of renewal. The funding is available for a flexible starting date in 2021.

Salary: £33,797 - £40,322 per annum (Grade 6)
