Physics and Astronomy
Haverford College invites applications for two full-time leave replacement faculty positions in physics and astronomy for the academic year of 2018-19. (Appointment for a second year may be possible contingent on need and a performance review in the middle of the first year.) The first successful candidate is expected to be able to teach courses across the undergraduate physics curriculum. Laboratory teaching experience is a plus, as is the ability to mentor undergraduate research students. The second candidate should be able to teach astronomy and physics courses at all levels. Haverford is a highly selective college with motivated students and a commitment to both quality instruction and significant scholarship. Our location in the western suburbs of Philadelphia allows for convenient interactions with colleagues at other institutions.
