Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position at the Institut de Recherche sur les Lois Fondamentales de l'Univers (IRFU) at CEA-Saclay, to work in the field of Observational Cosmology. The cosmology group of IRFU, consisting of 9 researchers and about 5 students and post-docs, is deeply involved in SDSS-IV/eBOSS and DESI on topics related to cosmology, tests of general relativity, large scale structures, dark matter and cosmological neutrinos. The successful candidate will have privileged access to SDSS-IV data and is expected to work on Emission Line Galaxy and QSO clustering through baryon acoustic oscillation and redshift space distortions. Some expertise in modeling of the anisotropic clustering, in the realization of mock catalogs or in reconstruction will be highly valuable. The funding is provided through a grant from the French agency for research (ANR) awarded to the French Participation Group of eBOSS and collaborations within the member institutes are foreseen.
Applications should consist of a CV, a list of publications and a brief statement of research interests to be submitted electronically to [email protected]. Please arrange for 3 letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the above email address. All application material should be received by 01 March 2017. Start date flexible: as early as May 2017 and ideally not later than October 2017.
