Research Center for the Early Universe (RESCEU) at the University of Tokyo invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position in gravitational-wave astrophysics. The successful candidate will work with Kenta Hotokezaka and his collaboration on topics related to gravitational-wave sources and electromagnetic counterparts of compact binary mergers.
The appointment is expected to begin in Spring or Fall 2021 (negotiable) for two years with anticipated renewal for one additional year. Applicants should have completed a PhD in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field before the appointment begins. Annual salary, 5,000,000 - 6,000,000 JPY (~47,000 - 57,000 USD) will be determined according to experience and qualification of the candidate.
