Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral research position at the institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Tübingen (IAAT). The city of Tübingen is a picturesque old town in Southwest Germany with a relatively large student population.

The research activities of the Institute include Astronomy, Instrumental Design/High Energy Physics, Computational Astrophysics and Relativistic Astrophysics. The focus of research of the Computational Astrophysics group lies in the field of star and planet formation, and the physics of accretion disks. The successful applicant will carry out original research in the group of Professor Wilhelm Kley. Experience in performing hydrodynamical and/or magnetohydrodynamical simulations is highly desirable.

The appointment is initially for two years with possible extension, and paid according to German public service scale (TV-L E13). The position gives the opportunity to obtain the German habilitation degree and requires some teaching.
