Postdoctoral Research Scholar in High Energy Astrophysics

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position in high energy astrophysics in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Philip Kaaret on space instrumentation, including the development of concepts for small satellite missions, and on data analysis and archiving for HaloSat, a CubeSat to study X-rays from the hot halo of the Milky Way. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy. Experience in the construction of space instrumentation and astrophysics data analysis is preferred.
