Job Description

The Department of Physics at Central Michigan University invites applications for the Early Career Astronomy - Physics Lectureship. The ECAP Lectureship is aimed at developing excellent new teachers of Physics or Astronomy by providing teaching experience and professional development opportunities in a supportive environment where quality instruction is valued. Pending final funding approval, this is a one-year appointment beginning in August, 2022, with the possibility of appointment for a second year. Candidates must have a strong interest in teaching introductory astronomy, physics, and physical science courses. A Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field obtained within the last 10 years is required as well as effective written and verbal communication skills.
