5-Year Career Development Fellowship and Fixed Term Studentship in Astrophysics

Job Description
Christ Church, University of Oxford, wish to appoint a five-year Career Development Fellow (CDF) and Fixed Term Student in Astrophysics from 1 October 2017. The post is funded by Christ Church but the candidate will also be a member of faculty of the Department of Physics, University of Oxford. The stipend payable will be in the range £26,052 to £29,301 per annum, with an additional housing allowance of at least £8,204 per annum (under review) for those not taking college-owned accommodation.
The person appointed will be required to undertake tutorial and class teaching, deliver lectures, and to carry out research in an area of astrophysics at a level comparable with that of physicists at a comparable stage of their career. The successful candidate will be expected to have a PhD in Astrophysics or a related discipline, to have the skills necessary for successful tutorial and class teaching and have an excellent record of publication in refereed journals reflecting the stage of his/her career.
