The Department of Astronomy at the University of Michigan seeks to fill a Lecturer I position.
The initial full-time appointment is from August 31, 2022, to April 30, 2023, with spring/summer teaching possibilities. This one-year appointment may be extended subject to departmental needs and satisfactory performance. Responsibilities include teaching 1-2 undergraduate Astronomy courses per semester. A portion of the appointment (33%) will involve overseeing departmental outreach efforts and internal communications. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Astronomy or a related field with some university-level teaching experience.
