Job Description

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year visiting position, beginning Fall Semester 2018. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on qualifications.  Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate. Teaching experience is required. Teaching load is 3/2 and may include both physics and astronomy courses (depending on the candidate's expertise and the needs of the department). Candidates should submit the following items through Interfolio (http://apply.interfolio.com/49522): a cover letter, curriculum vitae, graduate transcript(s), teaching statement, and teaching evaluations. Applicants must arrange for three letters of recommendation to be submitted directly to Interfolio by their recommenders. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2018.
