Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position at the Research Center for Space and Cosmic Evolution at Ehime University. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Yoshiki Matsuoka and other staff members on any desired projects related to SMBH/AGN and galaxy evolution. We will in particular welcome applicants who are interested in wide-field extragalactic surveys, such as the ongoing Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam survey. The successful candidate will also be involved in planning for future wide-field surveys with Subaru.
The position is for two years and renewable for a third year, subject to performance. Candidates must hold a PhD in astrophysics or related discipline before taking up the position, beginning in April 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter (August 2018 at the latest).
